The Standard Whelping Kit is a great start for new breeders, as it contains the essentials a breeder needs for a successful whelp.
The Standard Whelping Kits contain all of the following:
- Fast Reading Digital Thermometer (flexible and waterproof) – for taking mum’s rectal temperature leading up to the whelp and for the week following
- Lubricant, nontoxic water-based 50ml – for the thermometer or for examination
- Silicone Bulb Syringe – to remove fluids in mouth and nose
- Delee Suction Device – to remove fluids in mouth and nose
- 2 x ID collars (set of 12 different coloured ID Bands in 20cm and 30cm) – for easy identification of puppies
- Heavy Duty Kidney Dish (blue, 700ml) – to store instruments
- 2 x Stainless Steel Scissors – surgical stainless steel, blunt/blunt and blunt/sharp
- 2 x Stainless Steel Hemostats (Mosquito Forceps) – surgical stainless steel, curved and straight
- Umbilical Cord Scissors – stainless surgical steel, for cutting the umbilical cord
- Dental Floss (unwaxed) – for tying off the umbilical cord
- Umbilical Cord Clamps – to clamp off the umbilical cord
- Povidone-Iodine Swabs (10 units) – for cleaning the umbilical cord
- Alcohol Swabs (10 units) – for cleaning instruments or skin
- Gauze Swabs (100 pack) – many uses, wipe off the umbilical cord, wipe face or inside the mouth
- F10 Hand Sanitizer (100ml) hand rub
- Premium Latex Gloves (5 pairs) – powder-free
- Absorbent Pads (25) – to use in the whelping box, great for keeping bedding clean during whelping
- Tray Scales – to accurately weigh newborns and monitor puppy growth
- USB containing all our forms and resources. A digital download is also immediately accessible
- Ossol Calcium Syrup – to support the bitch during whelping and lactation
- 10ml Enfit Syringe and 15cm Sampling Straw to easily draw up and dispense Calcium Syrup. Comes with a small brush for easy cleaning of the fitting.
- Nutripet 200g – vitamin and mineral energy supplement for the bitch during whelping and lactation
- Troy Puppy & Kitten Wormer – to worm puppies, starting at 2 weeks old
