Description
The Vetario S Advance ICU Series II is a professional, multi-purpose veterinary intensive care unit and bird brooder, engineered for advanced environmental control and patient comfort. Designed for veterinary clinics, breeders and wildlife carers, it provides precise temperature regulation, enhanced humidity control and flexible airflow for the care of young, sick, injured or stress-sensitive animals and birds.
Manufactured in Great Britain, the S Advance Series II combines reliability, hygiene and ease of use with additional features for higher-dependency care.
Precision Digital Temperature Control
The Vetario S Advance ICU Series II features accurate, calibrated digital temperature control, adjustable in 0.1°C increments at the touch of a button. Temperature can be set from room temperature up to 38°C, making it suitable for neonates, avian species and critical recovery patients.
The digital controller displays temperature in °C or °F and includes dual adjustable alarms to alert users if internal or room temperatures move outside user-defined limits. The control panel is protected against accidental adjustment to ensure consistent, stable operation.
Advanced Airflow with Variable Fan Speed
Airflow has been carefully optimised to deliver even heat distribution throughout the chamber, ensuring all occupants experience consistent temperatures. The S Advance model features variable fan speed, allowing airflow to be reduced for particularly stress-sensitive patients while still maintaining positive pressure ventilation.
This gentle airflow minimises the movement of dust, fluff and down, while helping prevent contaminated air from entering the chamber.
A twin-stage air filtration system removes harmful bacteria and fungal spores, supporting infection control in intensive care and brooding environments.
Enhanced Humidity Control and Monitoring
Warm air can increase the risk of dehydration, particularly in neonates and birds. The Vetario S Advance ICU Series II incorporates an external-fill water reservoir, allowing humidity to be increased without opening the chamber. The clear reservoir enables easy monitoring of water levels.
Series II models offer an increased humidity range, supported by an adjustable door vent for fine control of fresh air exchange. The Advance model also includes a digital humidity display, allowing users to monitor humidity levels accurately and respond quickly to patient needs.
Nebulisation and Patient Observation
The S Advance ICU Series II includes a nebuliser solution holder, allowing medication to be conveniently administered when connected to a nebuliser pump. This makes the unit suitable for respiratory support protocols where nebulisation is required.
A switchable internal LED light safely illuminates the chamber, enabling clear patient observation without disturbing the internal environment.
Designed for Hygiene and Easy Cleaning
Hygiene is a priority in intensive care environments. The Vetario S Advance ICU Series II features smooth, easy-to-clean interior surfaces with no vulnerable edges for animals to chew or damage. The unit can be easily disassembled, allowing thorough cleaning between patients.
To further reduce infection risk, the cabinet plastic is manufactured with Biomaster™ Antimicrobial Protection embedded directly into the material.
Biomaster™ Antimicrobial Protection
All Vetario intensive care units incorporate Biomaster™ Antimicrobial Protection during manufacture. Embedded within the plastic itself, this technology has been proven to reduce bacterial growth by up to 99.99%, helping limit the risk of cross-infection from organisms such as MRSA, E. coli, Salmonella, Campylobacter and Legionella.
This added protection supports best-practice hygiene in veterinary and animal care settings.

Maintenance and Disinfection Guidance
Each Vetario S Advance ICU Series II is fitted with a water reservoir that humidifies incoming air. To inhibit bacterial build-up, a Brinsea Disinfectant solution (1:100) may be used in the reservoir and topped up daily.
Evaporating blocks and filters can be hand-washed but require regular replacement to maintain optimal performance.
After cleaning, all disinfectants must be thoroughly rinsed from plastic parts. Alcohol-based disinfectants should be avoided, as they may cause gradual embrittlement of plastic components, particularly around door hinges and fixings.
Design Protection
Vetario intensive care units are protected under EU Design Registration No. 001779729-0005, reflecting their unique functional and structural design.
