Wombaroo Teat Selection Guide

Each Wombaroo teat mimics the shape and length of a mother’s teat, offering mouth comfort and supporting correct tooth development in young animals. Progressing to longer teats as the animal grows is essential, particularly for species like marsupials.

Available Wombaroo Teats:

• C Teat – For cats, toy breed dogs, rabbits, and carnivorous marsupials
• P Teat – Suitable for small mammals, toy breeds, cats, and rabbits
• F Teat – Ideal for flying foxes and several medium and large dog breeds
• SD Teat – For small dogs, possums, and gliders
• LD Teat – Designed for larger dogs, wombats, and koalas

Custom Hole Size for Controlled Feeding

The Wombaroo teats come without pre-made holes, allowing you to customise the hole size based on the animal’s age and feeding needs:

1. Small Animals: Pierce with a hot needle to create a hole about 1mm in diameter.
2. Larger Animals: Use scissors to cut a larger hole.
3. Tip Stretching: Stretch the tip of the teat by pushing a toothpick up the inside of the teat. Snip off the very tip with sharp scissors.

The hole should be large enough for milk to drip out slowly when the bottle is inverted. An overly large hole may lead to milk aspiration risks. If the hole is too small, excessive sucking will quickly weaken the tip, and the end will blow out.

• Sterilising: Boiling or infant sterilising solutions can be used but may reduce latex lifespan.
