Description
The Vetario S Eco ICU Series II is a versatile, professional veterinary intensive care unit and bird brooder, designed to provide controlled warmth, humidity and isolation for young, sick, injured or compromised animals and birds. Trusted by veterinary practices, breeders and wildlife carers, the S Eco Series II delivers precise environmental control in a compact, easy-to-clean design.
Manufactured in Great Britain, this ICU is ideal for clinical and professional environments where accuracy, hygiene and rapid setup are essential.
Precision Temperature Control
The Vetario S Eco ICU Series II features accurate, calibrated digital temperature control, allowing precise adjustments in 0.1°C increments at the push of a button. Temperature can be set from room temperature up to 38°C, making it suitable for neonates, critical patients and avian species.
The digital controller displays temperature in °C or °F and includes dual adjustable alarms to alert users if temperatures inside or outside the chamber move beyond user-defined thresholds. The control panel is protected against accidental adjustment, ensuring stable and reliable operation.
Optimised Airflow and Filtration
Airflow within the Vetario S Eco ICU has been carefully engineered to provide even heat distribution throughout the chamber, ensuring all occupants experience consistent temperatures. A gentle internal fan maintains positive pressure ventilation, minimising the movement of dust, fluff and down while preventing contaminated air from entering the chamber.
A twin-stage air filtration system effectively removes harmful bacteria and fungal spores, supporting infection control in intensive care and brooding environments.
Integrated Humidity Management
Warm air can contribute to dehydration, particularly in neonates and birds. To counter this, the Vetario S Eco ICU Series II incorporates a clear external-fill water reservoir, allowing users to easily monitor and maintain water levels without opening the unit.
Air is circulated over the reservoir to increase internal humidity, and Series II models offer an increased humidity range. An adjustable vent on the door provides further control over humidity levels and fresh air exchange, allowing the environment to be tailored to individual patient needs.
Designed for Hygiene and Infection Control
Hygiene is central to the Vetario S Eco ICU design. The smooth interior surfaces are quick to clean and feature no vulnerable edges that animals can chew or damage. The unit can be easily disassembled, allowing thorough cleaning between patients.
To further reduce infection risk, the cabinet plastic is manufactured with Biomaster™ Antimicrobial Protection embedded directly into the material. This technology inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria, helping maintain a safer recovery environment.
Biomaster™ Antimicrobial Protection
All Vetario intensive care units incorporate Biomaster™ Antimicrobial Protection during manufacture. Embedded within the plastic itself, this technology has been proven to reduce bacterial growth by up to 99.99%, helping limit the risk of cross-infection from organisms such as MRSA, E. coli, Salmonella, Campylobacter and Legionella.
This added layer of protection supports best-practice infection control in veterinary and animal care settings.

Maintenance and Disinfection Guidance
Each Vetario S Eco ICU Series II is fitted with a water reservoir that humidifies incoming air. To inhibit bacterial build-up, a solution of Brinsea Disinfectant (1:100) may be used in the reservoir. The reservoir should be topped up daily to support hydration and hygiene.
Evaporating blocks and filters can be hand-washed but require regular replacement to maintain optimal performance.
After cleaning, all disinfectants must be thoroughly rinsed from plastic parts. Alcohol-based disinfectants should be avoided, as they may cause gradual embrittlement of plastic components, particularly around door hinges and fixings.
Design Protection
Vetario intensive care units are protected under EU Design Registration No. 001779729-0005, reflecting their unique functional and structural design.
