Basic Whelping Kit

The Basic Whelping Kit is a great start for your first whelp. It contains all essentials, most of which are high-quality long-term items that you will keep in either your whelping kit or first aid kit.

The Basic Whelping Kit is great for one-off whelping situations, as well as first-time whelps. Furthermore, it is also great for circumstances where sticking to a budget is a determining factor. All key products to support a successful whelp are found in the Basic Whelping Kit, including all the basic forms you need. If you are to continue breeding, you can supplement the products you need and want for subsequent litters individually.

The Basic Whelping Kits contain all of the following:

• Fast Reading Digital Thermometer (flexible and waterproof) – for taking mum’s rectal temperature leading up to the whelp and for the week following
• Lubricant, nontoxic water-based (5 individual sachets) – for the thermometer or for examination
• Silicone Suction Bulb – for helping clear fluids from mouth and nose
• ID Bands (12 adjustable velcro bands/12 different colours) – for easy identification of puppies
• Kidney Dish (blue, 700ml) – to store instruments
