- Whelping BoxesThe Whelping Box is available in 5 sizes, ranging from Toy to Giant. The material used is a uPVC which is strong, lightweight, water resistant, and has low thermal conductivity. This helps to make our boxes sturdy, hygienic and insulating. As the material is UV stabilised and impervious to water, the boxes can be stored outside, and hosed off or pressure washed. The boxes have a clever yet simple knock-together design, so they flat-pack for storage and transport, and take less than 5 minutes to put together. No tools are required for assembly (perhaps a little knock with a rubber mallet). The boxes include pig rails, 6 multi-use hooks and 4 corner shelves. A wall-to-wall shelf can also be provided, which helps create a “den feeling” and retain warmth. Each corner have keyholes at the bottom for feeding cables and wires in and out (heat pads, thermometer / thermostat probe, etc). The front panels have vertical holes for securing puppy pens (any type) down the track. The Whelping Box is perfect for breeders, vets, shelters and rescue groups alike. - Tube FeedingTube feeding is sometimes a necessity for some puppies for any number of reasons. We carry a range of sizes of both feeding tubes and compatible syringes. Our feeding tubes and syringes are human hospital grade, with enteral fittings, so please note that they ARE NOT luer slip compatible. Enteral/tube feeding equipment is typically orange in colour (or sometimes purple) to indicate that it is for feeding, and the slightly different enteral fitting is to prevent misconnections in a hospital setting (IV lines, oxygen lines etc). Our feeding tubes are clear with markings every centimetre, and our compatible syringes have a silicone o-ring for superior smooth action and improved re-use. Never trim a feeding tube. Breeders like to send the puppies they have spent time and effort nurturing into healthy vibrant puppies to their new homes with an arsenal of useful items to facilitate a continued positive upbringing and stellar future as canine citizens. Most Puppy Packs include written instructions as to how your puppies/breed are best settled in, raised, housed, trained, fed and groomed. Furthermore, they should have at least a few days of their regular food supplied, plus items such as puppy nail scissors, a silicone finger toothbrush to keep gums and teeth healthy (this is incredibly productive towards dogs being comfortable with their mouths handled and examined further down the track), and a clicker for basic behaviour, obedience and trick training. Tick removers are a “must” in most parts of Australia. Other useful items include the puppy’s next worming tablet, some puppy pads for lining bedding and cleaning up accidents, and a collar and lead that matches the colour of their baby collar (easily identified in pictures).
